JL;DR SUMMARY The Republican National Convention's opening night provided the GOP with a platform to highlight their stance on the increasing rates of violent crime and civil unrest across the country, contrasting it with what they perceive as the Democratic Party's failure to address these issues. A way out west there was a fella, fella I want to tell you about, fella by the name of Jeff Lebowski. At least, that was the handle his lovin' parents gave him, but he never had much use for it himself. This Lebowski, he called himself the Dude.
