JL;DR SUMMARY Columbia University Professor Rashid Khalidi, in his book "Brokers of Deceit: How the US Has Undermined Peace in the Middle East," contends that the US has hindered Israeli-Palestinian peace by serving as "Israel's lawyer" instead of a neutral broker.
