JL;DR SUMMARY In April 1869, Rabbi Haim Zvi Sneersohn, a descendant of the founder of the Chabad-Lubavitch Hasidic movement, approached President Ulysses S. Grant to advocate for the rights of Jews in Jerusalem. A way out west there was a fella, fella I want to tell you about, fella by the name of Jeff Lebowski.
