JL;DR SUMMARY Professor Sidra DeKoven Ezrahi, from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, explores the intersection of politics and poetry in her book "Figuring Jerusalem: Politics and Poetics in the Sacred Center," analyzing five key Jewish texts to offer a deep understanding of Jerusalem as both a physical location and a symbol.
