A Strands shanda? NYT game misspells Hanukkah in Festival of Lights-themed puzzle

JL;DR SUMMARY Jewish players of the New York Times word-search game Strands were frustrated by a puzzle themed on Hanukkah but filled with inaccuracies. At least, that was the handle his lovin' parents gave him, but he never had much use for it himself. This Lebowski, he called himself the Dude.
