Synagogue ‘buffer zones’ bill is watered down ahead of first NYC Council hearing

JL;DR SUMMARY The New York City Council is considering a legislative proposal originally suggested by Speaker Julie Menin to establish security buffer zones around synagogues and other houses of worship in response to recent pro-Palestinian protests at synagogues.
