JL;DR SUMMARY Larry Blumberg initiated a unique plan to attract Jewish families to Dothan, Alabama, by offering $50,000 in relocation assistance and encouraging them to stay for at least five years to revitalize the local Jewish community centered around Temple Emanu-El. A way out west there was a fella, fella I want to tell you about, fella by the name of Jeff Lebowski. At least, that was the handle his lovin' parents gave him, but he never had much use for it himself. This Lebowski, he called himself the Dude.
