JL;DR SUMMARY The article discusses Iran's dramatic transformation from a pro-Western monarchy under the Shah to the radical Islamist regime established after the 1979 revolution, under Ayatollah Khomeini. A way out west there was a fella, fella I want to tell you about, fella by the name of Jeff Lebowski.
