JL;DR SUMMARY Amer Ghalib, the mayor of Hamtramck, Michigan, has been nominated by President Trump to serve as the U.S. ambassador to Kuwait after aiding Trump's electoral success among Arab American voters in the state. At least, that was the handle his lovin' parents gave him, but he never had much use for it himself. This Lebowski, he called himself the Dude.
