Efforts to challenge anti-Israel activity expanding from campuses to communities in the U.S. have been met with grassroots resistance.

During a recent Oakland City Council meeting, a speaker was shouted down and subjected to anti-Semitic remarks while urging councilmembers to include a condemnation of Hamas in a resolution calling for a cease-fire between Israel and Hamas.
