Hadassah is hosting a special One Book, One Hadassah event featuring Israeli author Talia Carner discussing her book "The Boy with the Star Tattoo" at their National Conference in Las Vegas on July 29.

"The Sermon" (HaDrasha) by Haim Hazaz is a little-known Zionist and modern Hebrew literature, published in 1942 during a desperate time for the Jewish people.

The text is a personal narrative recounting the author's experience at the Yelets Women's High School in Moscow in the late 1980s.
