JL;DR SUMMARY The article revisits the historic 1952 meeting and subsequent correspondence between David Ben Gurion, Israel's Prime Minister, and Rabbi Avraham Yeshaya Karelitz, known as the Hazon Ish, amidst tension over the conscription of women into the Israeli Defense Forces. A way out west there was a fella, fella I want to tell you about, fella by the name of Jeff Lebowski.
