JL;DR SUMMARY The practice of assassinating key leaders of terror organizations, as recently seen in Israel's targeting of Hamas and Hezbollah figures, is acknowledged not as a decisive defeat tactic but as a tool for weakening these groups by causing psychological damage, disrupting leadership, and sowing fear and distrust.
