A recent report by the German government's Office for the Protection of the Constitution indicates a significant increase in extremist crimes in 2023, partially attributed to the Israel-Hamas war and its impact on the social climate in Germany.

In February, the NYPD reported a decline in antisemitic crimes in New York City, with 17 incidents compared to higher numbers in the months following the Oct. 7 attack on Israel.

The NYPD reported 31 antisemitic hate crimes in December, which is a spike compared to the same month last year but lower than October and November.
