Michael Lewis, assistant head of Jewish education at Immanuel College, has been nominated for the TES annual awards for educators as subject lead of the year for secondary schools.

Immanuel College in Bushey has been granted permission to expand its facilities by Hertsmere Council, allowing for the construction of new classrooms and sports amenities on the school's 11-acre campus.

Several Jewish schools have excelled in this year's GCSE exams, with Immanuel College achieving three times the national average for top grades and JFS seeing 55% of grades at 7 or above.

Jewish schools across the UK have surpassed national trends in A-level results despite challenges posed by the pandemic.
