According to a report by the Anti-Defamation League (ADL), incidents of antisemitism in the United States have surged since Hamas' invasion of Israel on October 7.

The NYPD reported 31 antisemitic hate crimes in December, which is a spike compared to the same month last year but lower than October and November.

Rahm Emanuel, the U.S. ambassador to Japan, expressed concern about the rise of violent antisemitism in the United States, comparing it to the religious persecution his grandfather faced when he fled pogroms in Eastern Europe over a century ago.
