This summer, participation in Birthright Israel trips from the U.S. and Canada has decreased by half compared to last year, with around 5,000 to 6,000 participants signed up.

Enrollment for Jewish American teens on summer trips to Israel has decreased significantly this year, with some camps cancelling the trips due to low interest and safety concerns following recent regional conflicts.

In response to the recent attack by Hamas, the North American Jewish community mobilized to show their connection to Israel.

RootOne, an initiative focused on strengthening Jewish identity among North American Jewish teens, has awarded NCSY, a leading Jewish youth group, a multi-million dollar grant to support their summer programs in Israel and Israel education efforts year-round.

NCSY, a youth organization, will be able to bring thousands of teens to Israel this summer thanks to a generous multi-million dollar grant from The Marcus Foundation.
